An excellent start to the league campaign with an empathic victory over a dogged Loughshinney side. Although everybody deserves a mention for their good performances in today's result it has to be said that the two Stews deserve special praise, Stewy O'Reilly for his superb three goals and Stuart Parker for his all round performance and cracking long range goal. The result could have been even better if we could have converted our numerous efforts on goal but some lacklustre finishing and one glaring miss late on saw us finish with a respectable 5-1 victory, if there was one complaint about our game today it would be that we allowed Loughshinney to score a goal early in the second half to give them half a notion that they might get something from this game as we just weren't at the races in the first 20minutes of the second half but we regrouped and saw out the game with relative ease.
Well done to everyone today, hopefully we can get into the habit of winning and give it a real shot of winning the league.
