It's a pity that we couldn't end the season with a win but the opposition were determined not to let us take another 3points from them and they possibly could have won the game themselves but for some vital Garreth Mahon saves throughout the second half, our goal came after some good play saw an excellent Pat Heary lob come back off the bar and under huge pressure from our star striker O'Reilly the Frankfort defender put the ball past his own keeper to give us a deserved lead.
  We should have held on for the win but Frankfort were well up for a battle and when we failed to clear the ball they took their chance and levelled the score, both teams could have won it in the late stages but the stifling heat wss taking its toll on everybody and the game ended in a draw.

And so ends a season that felt very long and hard,now we have a good break before we come back in July for preseason training and an early start to the short 16/17 season that will bring us to summer football that begins next year.
A big thank you to all who have been involved this year, from the manager right through the squad to the players that have hardly played due to injuries, hopefully we can get everyone ready for next term and give it a good go because as our end of season form showed we can be a very very good side.
