Wind ,bad decisions ,savage tackling ,bust ups ,a couple of good goals and some great saves is probably the best way to describe this Clifford Cup game ,Olv really put it up to Ballsbridge in the 1st half of this cup tie and probably should have scored a couple of goals before a bad refereeing decision and the freaky wind allowed the away team to take the lead 15 minutes before half time Olv still had some opportunities to equalize before the break but the Ballsbridge keeper made a couple of good saves to keep his side in the lead .

HALFTIME 0-1.

John Lowndes made a couple of changes at half time and Olv really brought the game to Ballsbridge for the opening 15-20 minutes of the 2nd half but once again a couple of silly goals were conceeded to let the game turn in Ballsbridges' favour, Olv let their heads drop after these goals and really never showed any signs of getting back into it after this ,the task was made even harder when the ref sent off an Olv defender(even though two of the Ballsbridge players had punched out already), the sending off ended the game as a contest and the match finished soon after with Ballsbridge scoring once more as Olv chased a consolation goal for their efforts.

A bad result for the lads but with the league to split soon and a quarterfinal game in the Grimes cup to come if we can play for a full 90mins the way we did for the first 65mins of todays game we still have a great chance of making this season a succsessful campaign.Well done lads....
