OLV should have won this game easily against the Kildare outfit but spurned numerous chances in the 1st half which gave Elleson the confidence to attack more freely after being totally dominated for most of the game,it wasn't all doom and gloom though as OLV played some good football and were in control throughout until early in the second half when Elleson got the first goal,OLV should have equalized almost immediately but the striker wasted the chance with a tame effort on goal, the second goal came from the penalty spot as one of the kildare men was brought down right on the edge of the box ,the third goal came after an Elleson ball into the OLV box was misjudged by the defenders and was fumbled into the back of the net.OLV played out the game as much the better side and can now concentrate on their next game against Portmarnock.
